45 hours every 3 years, including:

• 15 hours of law & legal procedure

• 6 hours of ethics (1 must be equity- & inclusion-related)

• Note: A maximum of 8 credit hours can be earned per day.

The CLE deadline for Washington attorneys is December 31st, every 3 years, depending on their compliance group.

Washington puts attorneys into 1 of 3 compliance groups according to when they were admitted to the State Bar. 

Attorneys can look up their Washington MCLE reporting period here. 

Attorneys may carry over 15 credits, including 2 ethics, into the next reporting period.

Washington attorneys have until February 1st to report their CLE compliance to the Washington State Bar.
