Hawaii requires attorneys to complete a total of 3 CLE credit hours each year. Every 3 years, one of those 3 credits must be Legal Ethics. 

Hawaii attorneys must complete their CLE requirement by December 31st each year.

Hawaii attorneys can carry over up to 3 CLE credits to the next reporting period, but these do not include ethics or professionalism credits, which have a separate 3-year cycle requirement
