Connecticut CLE Requirements

Connecticut requires attorneys to complete a total of 12 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit hours each year. The 12 CT CLE hours must include 2 hours of Ethics and / or Professionalism courses.

Connecticut attorneys must complete their MCLE requirement by December 31st each year.

Connecticut attorneys can carry over up to 2 CLE credits, including ethics credits, into the next reporting period.

Connecticut attorneys must keep their CLE certificates for seven years.
There is no need to report individual courses. You will certify that you have completed your MCLE for the current reporting period on your next attorney registration form.
